New Advanced Driver Course - 7th May 2026

 

We will be at the Lostock Parish Centre, Tempest Road, Lostock, BL6 4EL at 7.00 pm for a 7.30 pm start.  If you know of someone interested in joining our happy band, why not give their contact details to Katherine Whittle (01204 848449) so that she can send them an information pack.  The course fee is just £204 and includes all practical on the road guidance, books, membership fees and test fee

Group Meeting – Our Guest Speaker is David Lloyd, the topic for his talk is ‘Bolton As It Might Have Been.” 

 

David is a very well known local historian and has spoken to us several times before.  His first talk (May 2023) was on ‘the history of Bolton’ and his second talk (Nov 2023) was on the ‘restoration of Tram 66’, the only surviving tram from Bolton tram days!  His third talk in February 2025 was on "street names of Bolton", followed by ‘the history of Bolton Co-op’ in October 2025.

 

This talk by David will show us how, over the past 100 years, there have been many plans put forward to improve the town centre of Bolton.  Tonight we will look at some of these plans, which ones were implemented - and which ones never left the drawing board"

 

This talk is not to be missed, I’m sure it will contain information galore and help us to learn more about the history in our area.  So don’t be late!!

 

We meet at Lostock Parish Centre.  Group meetings are open to all, for this meeting please arrive by 7.00pm so that you have time to get organised and take your seat by 7.15pm ready for the EGM.

 

Associates "Meet the Examiner" Evening

 

 

If you are an Associate, then we expect you to attend as this evening forms part of your course.  The evening has been arranged so that the Examiner can tell you what he will be looking for on your test and to give you an opportunity to ask him any questions you may have about the test or driving in general.  If you are unable to attend please let your Mentor know.  We will be at Lostock Parish Centre, Tempest Road, Lostock, Bolton, BL6 4EL, please arrive by 7.15pm ready for a 7.30 pm start and the session will end at approx 10.00pm.
